Cornfields Restaurant & Hotel


Cornfields Restaurant & Hotel dates back to the 17th century and still retains its original oak beams and Inglenook fireplace with bread oven. Choose from five bedrooms, each individually and stylishly furnished. All have views out over the open countryside. There are two dining rooms and a sitting room with bar for pre or after dinner drinks. The larger of the dining rooms opens on to a private enclosed garden which, weather permitting, may be used to enjoy a drink or creamy coffee.

Local directions: Via A1 - Take Bedford turn A421/428 at Wyboston, (Black Cat Roundabout). Follow road approx 3 miles until you come in to Great Barford, look out for crossroads and Golden Cross Pub, (Chinese restaurant) in village centre and turn right towards Wilden & Colmworth. Follow road until you reach junction, turn right and then left signposted to Colmworth, keep on that road and after about 1 mile Cornfields is on the left. Via M1 - Take Junction 13 Bedford turn, and follow A421 and Bedford bypass towards Great Barford & A1. On entering Great Barford turn left at crossroads and Golden Cross Pub, (Chinese restaurant) towards Wilden & Colmworth. Follow road until you reach junction, turn right and then left signposted to Colmworth, keep on that road and after about 1 mile Cornfields is on the left.
