AMERICA COTTAGE, just at the side of Slipperfield Loch - a magnificent seven acre lake visible from America Cottage, more so in the wintertime. The cottage is private and secluded, about a five minute walk from Loch Cottage, in a beautiful position, with an open garden. LOCH COTTAGE, once a gamekeeper's cottage, is a lovely romantic site, with splendid views over Slipperfield Loch. In 1929 Slipperfield House was built onto it, with Loch Cottage however remaining completely self-contained.
