Crummockwater Cottages consist of three cottages that have been lovingly restored from former eighteenth-century farmyard barns and stables, making for an excellent self-catering retreat in a brilliantly scenic location in the Lake District's Buttermere valley. The cottages have five-star ratings and can be sourced for romantic getaways, or for family holidays - with sleeping for up to six people. Some of the interior features that make for a homely and memorable stay are antique brass and iron beds, pine furniture and oak ceilings, while the exteriors include private gardens and a lake-view picnic area.
