West Beach

All the elements that make up this seafood restaurant – its beachfront location, the sky blue walls, floor to ceiling windows– make it feel bright and airy. Although the white chairs and blond wood tables give the restaurant a casual appearance the food itself far exceeds the typical seaside cafe expectations. Starters include Dorset crab tortellini with tomato and basil consommé and crayfish bon bons. A mi-cuit salmon fillet with spiced Puy lentils, harrissa aubergine and salsa verde may follow. There are also more traditional seafood dishes available such as moules mariniere or fish pie as well as a selection of meat and vegetarian dishes. Desserts stretch far beyond a Mr Whippy ice cream with delights such as dark and white chocolate fondant with raspberry sorbet on offer.
