The Rockfish Grill

If you’re a fan of fresh fish, it doesn’t come much fresher than at Rockfish Grill, which boasts an adjacent fish mongers and the slogan “fish so fresh, tomorrow’s is still in the sea”. One of the three restaurants of celebrity chef/food writer Mitch Tonks (a name synonymous with good seafood), Rockfish Grill serves a daily changing menu of fishy treats, specialising in fish cooked over a charcoal fire. The restaurant is bright and relaxed, with a careful selection of wines by the glass, and set lunch and early evening menus. Fish is delivered daily from port of Brixham on the South Devon coast and cooked simply to maximise its natural flavour in dishes like Scallops roasted in the shell with white port and garlic and gurnard cooked over fennel, leeks and butter.
