Husband and wife team Jay and Taffeta Scrimshaw bring London fine dining to a sleepy Cambridge village. Set in a spectacular olde worlde thatched inn The Pheasant retains a lot of its traditional charm with large open fires and exposed oak beams. Chef Jay's training at renowned London restaurant Bibendum shows in his passion for Southern French cuisine fused with a love of seasonal British produce. The modern European menu changes daily and might include Lancashire lamb and confit tomato, or black pudding with caramelised pears. With a traditional country pub bar, a couple of cosy, rustic dining rooms as well as a bright, contemporary Garden Room leading onto an attractive terrace and garden – The Pheasant provides a great setting for dining all year round.
