The Ledbury is a classy affair. Attentive, knowledgeable staff serve up haute French-inspired cuisine. Hugely talented Australian-born chef Brett Graham is a culinary superstar in the making, creating bold, complex dishes. A seven course tasting menu includes imaginative and well executed plates like ceviche of hand dived scallops with seaweed and herb oil, kohirabi and frozen horseradish; roast turbot with a grilled leek, gnocchi and potato butter and the signature flame grilled mackerel with cucumber, Celtic mustard and shiso. The open plan dining room is understated and tasteful with a liberal dose of dark wood, cream leather chairs, thick linen. In the summer months, the restaurant opens out onto an attractive and popular pavement terrace.
The Ledbury is part of the following Editors' Picks:
10 of the Best Restaurants with Extensive Wine Lists by Andy Hayler
"The two Michelin star cooking of Brett Graham combines a focus on top quality ingredients with modern technique. To complement its food The Ledbury has a wine list with well over 500 options, and no less than 47% of the list under £75 a bottle, so there is plenty of choice for normal people as well as the really wealthy. Another pleasure is the broad global coverage, and in particular the relatively modest mark-up levels, particular for a restaurant of this level of prestige and popularity, where even lunch is booked up months ahead."
London's Ten Restaurants with the Hottest Chefs by Andy Lynes
"Brett Graham has gained international attention for this elegant but relaxed fine dining restaurant. His food hits all the right contemporary notes with daring combinations and innovative technique in dishes such as flame grilled mackerel with smoked eel, Celtic mustard and shiso."
