This gastropub is located in the beautiful West Yorkshire countryside. Polished floorboards and leather sofas by an open hearth provide a homely pub atmosphere, whilst the restaurant benefits from crisp white napery and sparkling glassware. Chris Kelly, chef and co-proprietor, has an ethos of 'field to fork' that produces refined dishes from simple fresh ingredients. Seasonal produce is sourced from local artisan, farmers and market gardeners. Starters may include grilled queenie scallops, Yorkshire cheese sauce and herb breadcrumbs, followed by seared Round Green Farm venison loin, red cabbage, apples, Puy lentils and smoked bacon sauce. There is a carefully chosen and extensive wine list that offers an interesting selection from both new and old worlds.
