The George is a 400 year old village pub, which has retained its traditional charm in its idyllic countryside setting on the border of Staffordshire and Derbyshire. Dogs and their owners alike can expect a warm welcome from landlady Emily Brighton, after enjoying one of the area’s great walking trails. Lunchtime offers a range of traditional pub grub using locally sourced ingredients including bangers and mash, fish and chips and sandwiches. The dinner menu is more refined with dishes like roast loin of venison with rhubarb and fondant potatoes. The George grows a lot of its own vegetables and salad so if you enjoy the locally sourced, fresh ingredients. Across the courtyard they have a stunning party room suitable for groups of 12 - 40.
