The Dartmoor Inn has a series of intimate dining rooms each with its own intriguing style. There are decorative nods towards Scandinavia and New England in this contemporary restaurant but although each room differs in style a relaxed and friendly atmosphere prevails across the board. There is also a cosy bar complete with a roaring log fire in the winter which serves a good selection of real ales. The short but sweet menu shows support for local producers and is updated daily. Pork cheek, potato purée and star anise sauce could start the proceedings followed by fillet of duck with vanilla apple purée, prunes and toasted almonds. Chocoholics will delight at the tiny chocolate pot or chocolate and hazelnut torte on offer for dessert.
