The Brown Dog

The Brown Dog is one of those pubs you don’t stumble upon but have to seek out but once you do you’ll realise what a find it is. Hidden down a back streets its self proclaimed ‘dog and kid friendly’ style and location (a short walk from Richmond Park and the River Thames) makes a bookings for lunch and dinner recommended. Inside you’ll find an unfussy, mismatched traditional pub decor and outside a garden complete with BBQ, which is put to good use when the weather is fine. Expect hearty dishes like Potted Rabbit with Green Tomato Relish and Sourdough Toast to start or Roast Rump of Black Face Lamb with Borlotti Beans, Garlic Confit and Salsa Verde for main.
