Alimentum has an all-star cast with Mark Poyton as Chef Patron, who joined Alimentum from two Michelin-starred Midsummer House in 2009 and Kyle Shimmon, ex- Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, front of house as Sommelier. The restaurant uses ethically sound, and where possible local suppliers, in order to reduce food miles and support the rural business community. The modern European menu changes weekly and reflects the seasonal local produce available with dishes such as Wood Pigeon Nuts, wild mushroom and confit potatoes prepared using slow cooking techniques to heighten the foods flavour and texture. The modern interior design includes striking red and black wall panelling and bold red chairs, while bar has an Art-Deco theme and provides a perfect backdrop for pre-dinner drinks and cocktails.
