The Plumed Horse is an award winning restaurant on Henderson Street, a continuation of the Shore. It serves adventurous Scottish cuisine with an abundance of rich flavours with dishes such as foie gras soufflé or roast loin of Borders roe venison with celeriac fondant, vanilla roast parsnips, spiced cauliflower and venison stock. The restaurant seats 40 people with tables that are all well-spaced that are given to diners for the whole evening so expect a quiet, undisturbed, leisurely fine dining experience. The frosted windows allow privacy from outside. The wine list is impressive and includes a number of half bottles as well as good value regular-sized bottles with a mixture of famous names and new finds.

Local Directions: From the City of Edinburgh - Head north on Leith Walk, turn left onto Great Junction Street, and first right into Henderson Street. The Plumed Horse is 200 metres, on the right, at the right-hand bend in the road. From the East - Head west on Seafield Road until it becomes Commercial Street. Turn left onto The Shore, this becomes Henderson Street, the Plumed Horse is on the left at the left-hand turn in the road.
