Every smart, contemporary, hotel needs its smart, contemporary restaurant and Opus One provides that function for the New County in the heart of Perth city centre. Although it's named after a heart-stoppingly expensive Californian wine, Opus One's impressive modern European cuisine prepared by award winning chef Romauld Denesle is surprisingly affordable. So settle into to your high back leather chair and enjoy breast of marinated pigeon with celeriac remoulade and apple vinaigrette, followed by roasted breast of Gressingham duck with a foie gras boudin, confit potatoes, braised red cabbage and a rosemary reduction and finish with pineapple and star anise mousse with roasted pineapple and green apple sorbet without breaking the bank. You could even splash out on a bottle of that posh American vino.
