When opening Mint & Mustard in Cardiff back in 2007, Chef Anand George was determined to redefine Indian Cuisine. The menu is a collection of modern dishes, expertly presented but still based on the traditional flavours and spices of India. The tasting menu, of which there is a vegetarian version too, is an ideal opportunity to get to grips with George’s inventive take on Indian fine dining and try unfamiliar dishes like Goan Porc ‘Vindalu’ and the chef’s signature Tiffin sea bass served pan fried on a bed of curry leaf infused-mash in a mango, ginger and coconut sauce. The staff are extremely courteous and are keen to explain each of the dishes and help you find something new to try which you’ll enjoy.
