Kinghams is an English restaurant housed in a 17th Century cottage in the picture postcard Surrey village of Shere. The dining room retains all its traditional features, low ceilings, oak beams and roaring fireplace, and there is al freso dining offered in the well-kept garden. Service is attentive, staff knowledgeable and atmosphere cosy. The menu changes regularly to keep locals coming back for more, making booking for lunch and dinner essential. Dishes are hearty, see local Pigeon Breast Pan-Fried with Apples and Ceps, Goat’s Cheese Beignets with Tomato Jam and Marinated Tomato Petals or Surrey Hill’s Prime Rib Steak layered with Creamed Garlic Mushrooms and Potato Wafers. Fish dishes depend on what was good at the market that day. The mid-week set menu represents great value for money.
