It is worth taking the time to root out this restaurant which offers modern British cuisine with international and Welsh influences in a quite side street in the bustling city centre. Covering two floors, the restaurant has a rustic feel with exposed brickwork and wooden floors. Over time it has gained a reputation for offering excellent fish and seafood so why not begin with a trio of roasted scallops with three sauces and cockle and laverbread crumble followed by hake fillet on a red pepper risotto with a sauce américaine. There are plenty of meaty dishes available too such as a slowly cooked pork belly with scrumpy apple sauce. Traditional desserts abound such as sticky toffee pudding and there is a good wine selection available.
