Food by Brenda Murphy is located in what looks like a domestic red bricked home close to the railway bridge and encompasses a deli, bistro and cookery school. The setting is very informal and intimate, and the food lovingly prepared demonstrating Breda’s passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients. The bistro enjoys a pretty al fresco terrace for when the weather is fine. The menu is full of home cooked hearty meals like the Bury black pudding fritter with red onion roly poly and grain mustard dressing, Breda's signature fish pie with poached haddock, salmon and prawns with champ potato and cheddar cheese with a delicious deep filled rhubarb and apple pie with cinnamon custard. Breda provides a range of freezer foods from the menu for takeaway, ready to recreate at home.
