The decor at this thatch-roofed pub restaurant might be eccentric with a daring mix of fishing nets and diving suit alongside hats and musical instruments, but factor in candles and linen and the overall effect is cosy and romantic. Despite the Yorkshire countryside location, the speciality here is fresh British seafood. Well loved classics are judiciously updated so that they're recognisable but just that bit more interesting. A plate of Loch Fyne smoked salmon, comes with warm pea and sweetcorn pancakes and mint crème fraiche while a simple prawn cocktail becomes a more elaborate dish of large prawns and crayfish serve with a , crevette fritter, malt marie rose sauce and a lobster and crab toastie. On a sunny day, dine in the attractive beer garden.
