For most people, dinner at Raymond Blanc's temple of fine dining Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons is reserved for special occasions only. But a meal at his casual French brasserie is an altogether more affordable option. This elegant dining room with white tiled walls and mustard wainscoting in the city centre is perfect for a business lunch or meeting friends after work. Francophiles will appreciate Burgundian snails in garlic herb butter and Maman Blanc’s soft meringue, chestnut puree and cream while the Glen Fyne Estate sirloin steak and big chips will please dedicated carnivores. A bargain two course set lunch that might feature pan fried chicken livers with shallot and Balsamic dressing includes a glass of wine.
