This grand country pile features a suitably luxurious and refined dining room, complete with plush burgundy drapery, chandeliers and well spaced, linen covered tables. Head chef Robert Thompson's style is complex yet subtly contemporary. The finest produce is sought out and results in a menu that’s every bit as sumptuous as the restaurant. Terrine of lightly smoked eel, foie gras, pork belly and granny smith apple served with toasted brioche sets the menu's inventive yet classically grounded tone. Follow with roasted squb pigeon from Anjou served with an unusual accompaniment of grilled boudin noir, beetroot, orange and tarragon and finish with an indulgent selection of miniature desserts.
