This 18th century converted farmhouse has been a restaurant since the early 1960’s when it was one of the country’s leading establishments. Since then its reputation has waxed and waned. Now Simon and Rena Gueller have put The Box Tree firmly back on the map. A traditional setting, warm cozy rooms and the menu is bang up to date without being too experimental. Precisely cooked and presented French influenced dishes include an earthy starter of roast sea scallops, celeriac puree, apples and Perigord truffles and a main course of veal sirloin steak with asparagus, Jabugo ham and morel mushrooms. spectacular box tree souffles.
