Restaurant Bosquet

Husband and wife team Bernard & Jane Lignier have run Bosquet for more than a quarter of a century, he in the kitchen, she front of house. The pair of small coffee coloured dining rooms that hold 26 customers between them are lent an air of dependable elegance by linen covered tables and high-backed leather chairs. Chef hails from the south of France and the signature ingredient of that region pops up in a dish of escalope of duck foie gras coated with spicy bread and served with a sweet wine and grape sauce. Kitchen skills are shown off in a main course of boneless roast squab pigeon stuffed with mushrooms and served with peas, bacon, onions and carrots. Wines from the south West of France feature on the all French list.
