60 Hope Street
Sandwiched between the city’s two famous cathedrals and close to the Everyman theatre, this modern brasserie is easy to find. Boldly decorated in blues and reds, the large buzzy space has brought Conran-esque metropolitan style to Liverpool. The modern European menu wouldn’t look out of place in one of Sir Terence’s restaurants either. Simple but elegant combinations abound such as Claremont Farm asparagus tart with air dried Cumbrian ham and poached egg or pan fried fillet of Dee Estuary sea trout with spinach and potato gnocchi and pea puree. Finish with a signature after dinner cocktail including an "After Eight" made with Baileys, green peppermint liqueur and dark crème de cacao.
