JORVIK Viking Centre: Explore the excavations which first unearthed the Viking-Age city of York and discover the truth about the people that lived there. Built on the very site where archaeologists discovered over 40,000 Viking-Age artefacts, this is now your chance to get up-close to 1,000 year old houses as they are revealed beneath your feet. Experience the Viking-Age city as you travel onboard our state-of-the art capsules, encounter the citizens that lived there, see inside their houses and backyards, and experience all the sights, sounds and smells of Jorvik.
New for 2011, 2 new exhibitions highlighting what illnesses and diseases Vikings suffered from, as well as the battles they fought in, types of weapon used, and injuries that resulted from them.

A Night of Sense and Sensibility

The Lord Mayor

Marston Moor Battlefield Walk
