Yorkshire Museum


Set in ten acres of botanical gardens, the Yorkshire Museum houses some of the richest archaeological finds in Europe and covers over 1000 years of local history. Discover Roman, Anglo-Saxon, Viking and Medieval artefacts that includes jewellery, silver and mosaics all mainly from Yorkshire. Also on display are swords, battle axes, plant fossils, pottery and a spectacular warrior stone. Exciting temporary exhibitions are displayed throughout the year.
