Dive into history at the Royal Navy Submarine Museum in Gosport, Hampshire and go onboard our submarines with a submariner to hear his stories about living beneath the waves.
Peer into the only surviving midget submarine to have seen action during WW2 and step inside the Royal Navy’s first submarine Holland 1 that is over 100years old. Dive deeper into our history galleries and discover the “derring do” of the nation’s Victoria Cross heroic submariners.
Feel the force, keep a submarine buoyant and fight the enemy in the interactive science gallery. Families can also find out about the horrible side of submarine life in our new funny Horrible Science of Submarines exhibition.
Complete your visit with a frothy coffee and a very sticky cake at the Harbour Stations coffee shop overlooking Portsmouth Harbour.

Information on Royal Navy Submarine Museum , Haslar Road , Gosport

Opening Times: Apr to Oct, 10:00-17:30, Nov to Mar, Wed to Sun and everyday in the school holidays 10:00-16:30. Last tour of Alliance 1 hour before closing. Closed 24 & 25 Dec.
Admission: Adult £12.50, Child (5-15) £9.00, Child (under 5) Free, Senior £10.00, Family (2+3) £34.00. Group Rates: Adult £10.00, Seniors £8.00.
Child Friendly:  Children of all ages welcome (Over age 3. Buggies not able to go onboard submarine. Buggy park provided.)
Dog Friendly: No
Location: By Road: Exit M27 at J11 and follow brown Submarine Museum (and anchor) signs. (About 20mins) By Train and on Foot: Exit mainline station at Portsmouth Harbour and take the frequent ferry service across the Harbour to Gosport (approx 4mins). Then walk & follow waterfront promenade to Submarine Museum (approx 10mins) or take the 29 or 30 Bus (5mins)
Facilities: Free Parking, Full Disabled Access to museum galleries, Wheelchair access not available on HMS Alliance, Gift Shop, Guided Tours, Seasonal Harbour Tours, Picnic area, Refreshments' Coffee Shop
