Milestones, winner of the Social and Industrial History Award under the National Heritage Museum of the Year scheme. Atmospheric street scenes with shops from the late Victorian period to early 1940s bring Hampshire´s recent history to life. An amazing 20,000 objects, including the Tasker and Thornycroft historic vehicles, are supported by easily accessible information, free audio-guide tours and working demonstrations by costumed staff. There is a regular programme of events and activities.
