The Royal Cornwall Museum is located in the heart of the beautiful cathedral city of Truro, and the permanent collection covers a wide range from Cornish History and minerals through to an Egyptian room, with a genuine Egyptian mummy. There is a large collection of Newlyn School paintings by artists such as Lamorna Birch, Frank Bramley and Harold Harvey along with works by Italian, French and Netherlands artists. British artists include Hogarth, Blake, Gainsborough, Constable and Turner. A varied temporary exhibition programme showing the talents of Cornish artists, photography and contemporary art.
