The Royal Artillery Museum - Firepower, is housed in the historically secret Royal Arsenal at Woolwich. `Firepower´ tells the history of artillery from slingshot to shell and from rocket to missile. Alongside the huge guns see gunners´ uniforms, personal possessions, artwork and medals. Also on display is a collection of artillery pieces ranging from the 14th century along with models and real ones. The dramatic centrepiece `Field of Fire´ presentation uses big screens and surround sound to tell the story of 20th century gunners in their own words, from Burma to Bosnia. Throughout the year there are special events and exhibitions.
