Overview

Built on the site of an ancient abbey, Scone Palace is now the family home of the Earls of Mansfield. It was the centre of the ancient Celtic Church and the crowning place of kings, including Robert the Bruce and Charles II, and houses a magnificent and varied collection of objets d´art that includes items of Marie Antionette. Works of art are on display by such artists as Sir Joshua Reynolds, Sir David Wilkie and Johann Zoffany. A fine collection of porcelain by Sévres, Ludwigsburg and Meissen is in the library. Set in mature and historic grounds.
