Grimsthorpe Castle

Grimsthorpe Castle, dating from 13th century, has been the home of the de Eresby family since 1516 when it was granted to the 11th Baron Willoughby de Eresby by Henry V111. The State Rooms house stunning collections of paintings, furniture, family portraits and tapestries, also an unusual collection of thrones, fabrics and artefacts from the old House of Lords. The castle is surrounded by parkland with oak trees planted at the time of the Stuart Monarchy, lakes, gardens, deer herd and woodland walks.
