St Michael´s Mount
St Michael´s Mount can be approached by a causeway at low tide and ferry at high tide, was originally the site of a Benedictine priory dating back to the 12th century. After the Civil War it was acquired by the St Aubyn family who still live in the castle today. Converted into a private house in the 17th century it has an armoury and fine rococo. The Tudor Great Hall has an arched roof with a massive Jacobean oak table in the centre and in the Gothic style blue drawing room a good collection of portraits and a small collection of silver.
