Marble Hill House

Marble Hill House was built in the early 18th century for Henrietta Howard, Countess of Suffolk and the mistress of George II. The interior is planned round the Great Room, where she would have entertained, with it´s ceiling that rises through the upper storeys of the house. It contains an important collection of early Georgian furniture and paintings. Set in 66 acres of parkland that borders the River Thames. New for 2006: Hand-painted Chinese wallpaper transforms the Dining Parlour. Also new trails, albums and events throughout the season.
