Hunstanton Golf Club

Founded in 1891 with the original lay out revised and extended to 18 holes by James Braid, the River Hun and the Wash frame a narrow strip of links land of the out and back course situated on either side of a dune ridge. Measuring 6,760 yards from the back tees, the start is gentle and on a mild day quite easy. Changes have been made over the years, including the addition of 40 bunkers. Plateau greens were introduced to the 6th, 7th and 8th holes while the two finishing holes on a tough back nine have been stiffened. The 17th signature hole has a slim green tucked into the ridge. The greens are excellent, the holes varied and challenging and bunker and blind shots are features of a classic links.
