Lytham Green Drive Golf Club

Lytham Green Drive is one of the lesser known courses in the Lancashire coastal belt, but has a personal charm and was once used as a final qualifying course for the Open. Short, 6,300 yards, par 70, lined by trees on sandy soil with many parkland characteristics. The front nine offers the best scoring chances although the first is tough with out of bounds on the right and trees on both sides. The homeward nine contains three of the four par threes, but all require accuracy to small, well bunkered greens. The 14th “Devil's Elbow,” a right angled dog-leg measuring 444 yards with a stream that comes into play twice is the testing signature hole.
