Belleisle Golf Club
Belleisle was designed by James Braid in 1927 and has developed into one of the best public courses in Scotland. Set in the middle of the woodlands of Belleisle Park in Ayr, the lengthy 6,477-yard par 72 course starts with two par fives and there are only two par fours of less than 400 yards. The 18th is another par five, a dog leg of 532 yards played across a burn with a deep gully by the green. But the extra long beech-lined airways are wide and fine views of the Isle of Arran can be glimpsed from the sixth and seventh holes. The club has staged many professional tournaments.
