Downfield Golf Club

Set in stunning parkland on the outskirts of Dundee, Downfield is noted for the wildlife on the course with foxes, squirrels, deer, water fowl, ducks and buzzards very much in evidence and it also has over 100 species of tree. Water comes into play on no fewer than seven holes and there are five par fives and the 11th is one of the best. The original course was designed by James Braid but the course was altered in 1964 to make way for housing although some of the original holes are still in play but little has been lost of the quality of a superb course.
