Summery Pitmuies Gardens have two semi-formal walled gardens adjoining the Georgian House. Sheltering long borders of herbaceous plants, superb delphiniums by the hundred, old fashioned roses and paved areas for violas, dianthus and alpines. Spacious lawns with river and lochside walks beneath fine trees. Massed early spring bulbs and good autumn colour later in the year. Charming old stone-slabbed and fern roofed domestic buildings, a turreted doo-cot and a Gothic wash-house add interesting features to the landscape and more typically Scottish woodland walks with rhododendrons and flowering trees and shrubs.
