The Valley Gardens - Windsor Great Park
The Valley Gardens, part of The Royal Landscape, is a woodland garden on a grand scale, set beneath majestic trees with delightful views to Virginia Water lake. Over 200 acres of camellias, rhododendrons, magnolias and many other flowering trees and shrubs provide visitors with a breathtaking spring display. Massed plantings of hydrangeas are the highlight of summer, before a myriad of autumn tints from Japanese maples, birches, sweet gums, and more begin to emerge. Winter brings the flowers of witch-hazels and drifts of heathers amongst the dwarf conifers in the Heather Garden, before swathes of daffodils stud the turf in the sweeping Azalea Valley.
