Newstead Abbey Park & Gardens

The gardens and parkland at Newstead Abbey, once the home of the Poet Lord Byron, cover more than 300 acres with paths that meander past lakes, ponds and waterfalls. The gardens have something to offer in all seasons, with spectacular displays of bold colour from the rhododendrons in late spring to the Japanese maples in autumn. The historic parkland includes a variety of habitats important to nature conservation, including nationally significant heathland. This garden is the perfect place for a stroll, a real escape from the hectic pace of city life, within the heart of Nottinghamshire.
