Norton Priory Museum & Gardens
Excavated Priory remains are the setting for Norton Priory´s extensive gardens with a site which also includes a purpose-built museum, the St Christopher statue - one of the great treasures of medieval Europe - exciting sculpture trail and award-winning 1750 Walled Garden with its National Collection of tree quinces, herbs, roses, vegetables and fruit (available by season and by prior request). The 38 acres of tranquil, beautiful woodland gardens contain summerhouses, azaleas, a heather garden, laburnum arch and the recreation of a 12th century herb garden, unique in Britain and featured on BBC 2´s `Hidden Gardens´ series.
