Stream House B&B

Pett Level Road, Fairlight, Hastings, East Sussex, TN35 4ED

If the town of Rye in East Sussex, hailed as one of the most picturesque in England, woos you to its cobbled streets and quaint countryside make sure you stay at Stream House just a stone’s throw away. This B&B, run by Sandra and Steve, offers an extra touch of comfort thanks to their deeply comfortable beds, and bonus guest lounge which doubles up as your own breakfast room, featuring inglenook fireplace with views out to the stream. The double room with stunning roll top bath is particularly lovely, and provides the perfect spot to spy the local badgers and birds. Take a stroll around the house’s tranquil three-acre garden and follow the meandering stream, sit by the Koi Carp pond and take in the sweet scents of the beautiful rose arbour.

We stayed in the lovely Cornflower room and we really enjoyed the warm welcome with tea and cake. Sandra had plenty of advice for things to do in the area and we had a most wonderful time. It's been our second stay, we were in the Poppy room before, and I'm sure we will come back again and again.

A beautiful house in a lovely setting, very peaceful (especially if you're coming from a busy city). Lovely local restaurants and country pubs nearby, which the host, Sandra, can recommend and is only too happy to book for you. Rye and Hastings are both charming towns. One of the best home cooked breakfasts we've had.

Just returned from celebrating my partners b'day this weekend, As always much research was done prior to ensure a special weekend, and we were not disappointed. Stream House is immaculate ( I mean in a homely way, not cold Showroom style), The hosts Sandra and Steve were extremely welcoming, they have that skill so you know you can ask them anything without feeling you are being a nuisance, but at the same time your privacy is respected. We stayed in the Poppy Room - beautiful - and a bathroom to die for - I made sure each evening I had a long soak in the Stand alone Roll Top Bath. They have a big shower Unit which is great to use in the mornings. A real plus point staying a very short distance out of Rye is that you can Park easily - we stayed in central Rye 15 years ago and recall having to wake up to move the car so that we didn't get a ticket. Also we can highly recommend The Robin Hood Pub for dinner, its not Gastro but it is very charming and the service and food is extremely good - I will be posting a separate review :0
Would highly recommend this B&B.
