Stretch out in the privacy of your own wing at Slides Farm B&B, a beautifully finished two-bedroom apartment in the historic rolling countryside of Battle. When you arrive, enter via your own front door and take a restorative sip of homemade cider from the refrigerator in the guest kitchen. In the ground-floor bedrooms no expense has been spared: sink into the huge king size beds dressed with soft goose down duvets and deluxe organic cotton linen while in the bathrooms wrap yourself up in Egyptian cotton towels. Rooms also come with a view; expect terrific sights over the Rother Valley and the added bonus of doors that open on to a terrace and garden area. In the mornings wake up to traditional English breakfasts, made with local Salehurst bacon and sausages or undyed Wealden smoked haddock, on the sunny terrace or in your own dining space.
