Munden House was originally a collection of old farm cottages dating back well over three hundred years. Maintaining all the old period features it is now a beautiful, comfortable and well equipped haven 3 miles from the historic market town of Sherborne in Dorset. The light, airy dining room has outstanding views over the large garden to Blackmore Vale and leads into the guest sitting room with its lofty beamed ceiling, original limestone walls and 300 year old fireplace. There are four comfortable bedrooms and three self contained suites. In the heart of Thomas Hardy country, Munden House is the perfect base from which to explore Dorset.

Review of Munden House
Posted on by Patricia LoakeType of travel: Couples
We stayed here with our dog for a couple of nights in the Summer House which was very private, beautifully furnished and comfortable. It additionally had a small kitchenette but we ate out and had breakfast in the main house. The poached eggs were the best I've ever had - done to perfection. The gardens are beautiful and populated by four chickens and athe owners dog who is very friendly. A lovely stay.
