The home of Tim and Anne Marten is a Victorian house lovingly restored and refurbished to a very high standard. The reception rooms are elegant and spacious. The bedrooms are beautifully and stylishly furnished (Chinese Peony with an oriental theme and the Tulip Room), complete with comfortable beds, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The new en-suite bathrooms have commodious baths and shower facilities and are finished in Italian marble and they sparkle. Tim is a retired diplomat and Anne is Chinese, brough up in Kuching in Borneo. She is a trained Cordon Bleu cook. They are full of life, love entertaining and have a passion for food, wine, museums, opera, foreign travel, gardens and a good game of bridge.
