Overview

From the tiny octogenarians playing bowls to the diddy zoo penguins and frantically busy hay bailers, Bekonscot Model Village is a delight to visit. The Buckinghamshire attraction, which donates all its profits to charity, recreates rural life in the 1930s in miniature and no detail is too small to attend to. We LOVE the fiendishly complex gauge one line train set that whizzes around the gardens and the detailed Wychwood Castle and Splashying Airport featuring terribly busy tiny people going about their business. The site also has a sit-on narrow gauge light railway which weaves its way behind the model village, remote control boats, play area and Pirate Blaster stand. Bekonscot has seen generations of children delight in its compact village (including HM The Queen) and little wonder – from its beautifully kept flowers and plants to its intricate depiction of lives in a bygone era, it's simply a marvel.

Reviews

Fascinating glimpse into life and times past. Well laid out village, not too large, Good play area/picnic area and cafe.
