Set in the impressive Drumkinnon Tower right next to the water, Loch Lomond SEA LIFE Centre is bursting with marine life and activities that should keep the kids amused for hours. Cammy, Scotland’s only giant sea turtle, is always a big hit with the little ones as is the centre’s Giant Pacific Octopus. You may find your kids are very difficult to extricate from the interactive rock pool where starfish and crabs very patiently allow little ones to handle them but nothing beats the Ocean Tunnel where sharks and rays glide effortlessly close to your face (make sure you are there for the feeding times). If you’re peckish, the café on the top of the building is lovely – with views to die for across Loch Lomond. While you’re here, it’s worth knowing you can also take boat trips of the loch just outside the aquarium.
