Everyone’s heard of Ascot, not least because the TV news can’t resist showing footage of those elaborate hats sported by the ladies each summer. Royal Ascot in June is, undoubtedly, the highlight of the year for this Berkshire attraction but there are plenty of other meets to attend through the seasons, with every race day having a unique theme including a summer cocktail party in July, an eighties concert in August, a food and wine festival in September, a beer festival in October, fireworks in November and a number of dedicated family race days. I like the Race, Rattle and Roll days when the gee gees gallop against a backdrop of dozens of shiny Cadillacs - with ice cream sundaes featuring on the menu.

Admission:	Ticket prices start for £12 per person and generous group and advance discounts apply.
Child Friendly:	Children of all ages welcome (Free entry for all under 18s on all racedays when accompanied by an adult)
Dog Friendly:	No
Location:	Easily accessible by road from the M25, M3, M4 and M40. By train there is a direct, 50 minute route from London Waterloo and a direct, 30 minute route from Reading. The railway station is a seven minute walk from the Racecourse.
Facilities:	Car, Coach, minibus and limousine parking is available at every race meeting, Disabled Access, Restaurants, Shop
