Coats Observatory
Architecturally stunning, the Observatory was built by the Coats family in 1883 and is a working Victorian Observatory. Displays on astronomy, astronautics, seismology and meteorology. Meteorological and astronomical information has been recorded here since 1882. Public telescopic viewing, weather permitting, on Thursday evenings in winter. Very active Renfrewshire Astronomical Society.
